Thursday Yoga Flow 6:00pm on April 9 with Kat
This yoga style requires a good-working knowledge of the basic yoga poses. The emphasis in this class is on synchronizing movement and breath in a flowing movement– inspiring the style name, Flow (‘Vinyasa” in Sanskrit). The postures move from one to the next smoothly in a flow as students move through the basic postures as well as some more challenging variations. Each class incorporates a mix of strengthening poses, twists, balancing poses, backbends, and forward bends. Binding, arm balances and more advanced inversions will be made available to those students who have more advanced practices. Beginner students should be familiar and generally comfortable with the basic poses before trying Vinyasa for the first time. Some prior yoga experience recommended.
