Ghia Griess

Ghia’s long journey of yoga has brought her back and forth to her mat for multiple reasons: anxiety, mindfulness, exercise, relaxation, sweat and power of the practice, her ego, healing from surgeries, and just the love of the connection of mind and body allowing her peace on her mat. During class a teacher once said, “yoga is a slow burn, where every day the practice is never the same, and it is always evolving to obtain a lifelong practice”. This little statement stuck with her and ignited her into a new journey. With the many returns of times on and off her mat Ghia’s last return to her mat 3 years ago is this final and lifelong return to her practice where she is creating yoga for her and one that will be a forever practice. Ghia graduated from Open Doors 200 yoga teacher training in June 2018 through Open Doors Studios. Ghia’s intentions are to guide students to bring this slow burn of yoga to her students. Ghia’s goal is to guide students yoga practice that creates a space of mindfulness and ease so that their yoga practice can grow and sustain to promote yoga relationship that can be maintained throughout one’s life.
