Brittany is a lover of all things health and wellness oriented. She has studied and worked in fitness for over 10 years and became a licensed ZIN (Zumba instructor) as of December 2018. Born to parents from the Caribbean, I fell in love with Zumba as it combines fun cultured music with fitness. This workout format allows me to incorporate my ethnicity and personality into what she loves.
Zumba fitness is a great workout for all fitness levels. She absolutely loves teaching Zumba and the reason is simple; every class feels like a party! Zumba is a form of dance fitness featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance, and performed primarily to Latin American dance music. Her classes also incorporate music and movements from the Caribbean as well as Hip Hop, Pop, Afrobeat and much more. With Zumba you almost forget that you are working out because you are having so much fun dancing to the various rhythms.
Traditional Zumba dance moves are designed to strengthen your core and enhance flexibility. The core dance moves include steps from salsa, merengue, cumbia, and reggaetón. Squats, lounges, and other typical fitness moves are hidden within the choreography to give a well rounded, full body cardio workout.
